Alterations to staff room including new windows, removal of walls, erection of stud partitions, new DDA toilet and new staff kitchen. 

Key challenges:

• Timeframe; the project had to be completed within a 5-week period during the summer holidays 2021
• Discovery of existing structure was not as per the original plans, requiring a structural engineer to redesign the steelworks that supported the roof joists and ceiling
• Sourcing the additional workforce, materials and resources to meet the specification by the agreed deadline

Highlights:

• Collaboration with other professionals including the Local Authority to resolve issues in safe and timely manner.
•  The final result exceeded the client’s original vision.
