Towers School And Sixth Form Centre
Project
New build special Educational Needs Building.
Construction
Building was constructed using H blocks and reinforced concrete, clad externally with cement board and with a trussed slate roof.
This project included: –
- Solar panel installation.
- Associated groundworks.
- Turning circle for emergency vehicles.
Key challenges
- SEN building at The Tower School, Ashford was constructed in the heart of the school and the school remained open during the majority of the project. Careful planning and liaising with the school’s management team were required to ensure the delivery of plant, machine and materials required on site did not disrupt the school day.
- Site security was also strictly adhered to, in order to prevent unauthorised access.
Subsequently we built an Art Block and Sixth Form Centre on the same site as well as refurbishing toilet facilities
